A long time ago, I fell in love with movies. They grabbed my attention like no book or song ever could.  The characters, the worlds, the laughs, the cries, all of it. Movies were like magic before my eyes.I eventually decided that I wanted to make movies. I worked on Hollywood sets and met some of the most creative and intriguing people in the world. I began to understand the magic that goes into storytelling. I was HOOKED. I wanted to do that.This process of writing, directing, shooting, and editing videos that move people has become part of who I am.  I love it.  That’s why I started Toldwell. This company exists to take the great stories out there and translate them into films that reach people right where they are.I believe that if you want to inspire people to do something, whether that's to buy a product, attend an event, donate to a cause, engage with a brand, be aware of an issue, or literally anything else, your best bet is to tell them a story. Toldwell exists to help you tell those stories.

OUR PROCESS

All of our projects follow a traditional approach to filmmaking.

Pre-Production

Pre-Production

Where we lay the
ground work.

We'll start with scripting, storyboarding, and pre-visualizations so that all parties involved are completely aligned on the vision for the project. Once you and your team feel confident in the written vision, we'll then move on to the logistics of planning your production. This involves casting, location scouting, wardrobe and set preparation. Once all of those pieces fall into place, we'll move on to the next phase of the project.

Where it starts to
come alive.

This is where the magic happens. We'll gather a full crew of filmmaking professionals, all dedicated to bringing your concept to life. Depending on the size of the project, a Toldwell crew can range from 4 to 40 people. This is considered small in the world of commercial filmmaking, but we value talent density and like to keep our crew light on their feet so that we can maximize your shoot days. You're always welcome on set, but we don't require it.

Post-Production

Where it all
comes together.

Thanks to a successful pre-production and production, there should be no surprises here. We'll edit the footage to match the previously approved script and pre-visualization, resulting in the first version of your video. From there, you'll be able to leave feedback. We'll implement any notes and deliver your next cut of the video. We repeat this back-and-forth process until you are completely satisfied with the end result.
